Karl Kügle gave a lecture at St John’s College, University of Oxford to members of the Late Medieval History seminar (convenors: Hannah Skoda and Natalia Nowakowska). The lecture was entitled “‘Ancient music’ in late medieval Europe: from thirteenth-century Paris to seventeenth-century Silesia” and took place on 5 February 2019.

New season of SoundMe seminars inaugurated in Warsaw

On 27 November 2017 Piotr Ziółkowski (Ph.D. Student from the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences) presented his research paper ‘Rękopisy chorałowe kościoła Mariackiego w Gdańsku a krzyżacka tradycja liturgiczna’ (‘Chant manuscripts from St Mary’s Church in Gdańsk, and the liturgical tradition of the Teutonic Order’).

In November 2018, Jan Ciglbauer (Prague team) spent a month conducting research at the Hamburg University Library. His stay was funded by DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). In the course of his stay, he gave a lecture at the Institute of Historical Musicology.
