The Prague Team, Schola Gregoriana Pragensis and La Morra revive the musical life of medieval students

On Tuesday, 24 September, the last concert of the Sound Memories project took place at the church of Our Lady of the Snows in Prague, one of the highlights of Gothic architecture in the Czech capital.

The programme “Seven Days at Prague University” presented mostly unknown music which was part of the everyday life of medieval students and academics, and is based on the long-time research of Jan Ciglbauer.

The sounding realization of this project is a result of the close cooperation between musicologists from the Sound Memories team and Sound Memories APs Schola Gregoriana Pragensis (artistic director: David Eben) and Corina Marti (leader of the ensemble La Morra).

A recording of the programme will shortly be available online on Spotify and in due course appear in traditional CD format, including a comprehensive booklet.
